The Window Cleaning Hall of Fame 2009 Inaugural Class Inductees

Irvin "Irv" Tucker owned and operated Tucker Manufacturing in Cedar Rapids Iowa.

In the 1950's he moved the company toward window cleaning in connection with the invention of the telescoping ( Don Newman Sr. ) pole and the addition of a water line and brush onto the pole. Originally created for car and house cleaning it was quickly adapted to window cleaning and the rest is history.

With the addition of Deionized water then Reverse Osmosis, the Tucker water fed pole became the model for other manufacturers to follow.

Irv tucker passed in 1975 and the company is now run by his grandson Robin Tucker who is very generous with his time for all window cleaners.
